Dear Longhorn Families,
As we enter this Christmas season and the final month of 2025, I want to take a moment to reflect on the remarkable progress our students have made! This semester has been filled with growth, learning and meaningful accomplishments and I am so proud of the dedication displayed from preschool to our Senior Class! We are gearing up to complete our reading and math “middle of year” assessments and I’ll be anxious to share our results with you next month.
In addition to our growth and achievement with regard to academics, our basketball and cheer teams are learning and growing. Have you been to one of our basketball games? Our athletes are full of determination and “stick-to-it-ness!” Is that a word? If it’s not a true word, it truly depicts our teams! A big thank you to our coaches and volunteers!

December 4: 4:00 MS basketball game at home vs. Limon
December 9: 5:30 MS Basketball game at home vs. Byers
December 15: 4:00 MS Basketball game at home vs. Strasburg with our Christmas
program after the game
December 16: 5:30 High School basketball game at Byers
December 17: 5:00 HS basketball game at Manzano
December 18: 11:00 dismissal and the beginning of Christmas break
January 5, 2026: School Resumes
