Dear Agate Longhorn Families, Students, and Staff,

Welcome back to another exciting school year at Agate School District!

As we begin the 2026–2027 school year, I want to take a moment to welcome each of you back to our school family. The start of a new school year brings a sense of excitement, new opportunities, and the chance to build upon the successes of the year before.

I am incredibly proud of our students and staff and the progress we continue to make as a school community. At Agate, we believe that every student matters, every student can learn, and every student deserves the opportunity to succeed. Our small-school environment allows us to know our students personally, celebrate their individual strengths, and work together to help them reach their goals.

This year, we will continue to focus on strong academics, student growth, positive relationships, school safety, and creating opportunities for our students to discover their interests and prepare for their futures. We will also continue working together to strengthen our school culture and make Agate a place where students feel valued, supported, and excited to come to school each day.

To our students, I encourage you to set goals, work hard, ask questions, try new things, and never be afraid to make mistakes. Mistakes are part of learning. Believe in yourself and remember that your teachers and staff are here to help you succeed.

To our staff, thank you for the dedication, patience, and care you give our students every day. The work you do makes a lasting difference in the lives of our children, and I am grateful to have such a committed team serving our school.

To our parents and community members, thank you for partnering with us. Your encouragement, involvement, and support are essential to the success of our students. Agate School is truly a community school, and we are stronger when we work together.

As we start this new school year, let us remember what makes Agate special: we are a family, we look out for one another, and we believe in our Longhorns.

I am looking forward to a wonderful year filled with learning, growth, new experiences, and many opportunities to celebrate our students.
